WENDY OLIVER; a beautiful, creative, innovative and inspiring daughter, sister and friend
A message from Wendy’s family:
It is with very deep sadness that we need to let you know that Wendy has died following a long struggle with her health. We know that you will share our sadness and grief. We know that Wendy had a huge impact on so many peoples lives and we are so proud of everything she achieved at in touch studios.
This month’s shout out is to WENDY OLIVER; a beautiful, creative, innovative and inspiring daughter, sister and friend.
There will be a funeral service for Wendy at South Bristol Crematorium, BS13 7AS at 1.30pm on Tuesday July 7th.
We believe that it was Wendy’s wish that people attending her funeral should not wear black mourning clothes or anything sombre or sad. Therefore, please wear your favourite clothes and/ or whatever makes you feel good about yourself and the way you move. If you have one, and you feel comfortable wearing it, we encourage you to wear your ‘in touch’ t shirt.
We would ask that you do not bring or send any bought or cultivated flowers or flower arrangements. Instead, you are welcome to bring flowers cut from your garden. There will be an opportunity during the service to place any flowers on Wendy’s coffin and they will be left with her.
We have also set up a Just Giving website for a charity that Wendy supported – Marine Conservation Society – in case anyone would like to express their respects to Wendy in that way: https://www.justgiving.com/ForWendyOliver
There will also be an opportunity during the service, for anyone who would like to, to leave a private message for Wendy on her coffin. If you would like to leave her a message please write it on a small piece of paper or post-it note and bring it with you.
There will be refreshments and an opportunity to meet with Wendy’s family and friends and share your memories of Wendy at The Tobacco Factory Bar after the funeral.
With best wishes,
Closure of in touch studios
It is with sadness that, following a meeting with Wendy’s accountants, we have been advised to close the studios immediately and will not be holding any further training sessions. Wendy was a sole trader and legally we cannot continue to trade in her name.
The family are in the process of appointing an executor and obtaining grant of probate but, in the meantime, please accept our apologies that we have had to take this decision.
Many people within the community are asking whether there is a way for in touch studios to continue. We would very much like there to be and we will be doing whatever we can to try and secure a future for in touch in some form. We are happy to hear of any suggestions you may have for the business going forward. Wendy achieved so much at in touch studios and if there is any way we can ensure her legacy is able to continue then we will do whatever we can to help make that happen.GET IN TOUCH
